Side door units feature a two-stage opening on the side of the container which creates either an eight foot or a twenty foot opening, depending on how far you open the side doors. This configuration is useful in loading large objects which won't fit through the standard opening on the end of the unit, or in loading items in such a way that they can be easily sorted and accessed without having to unload the entire container.
